Bharat Electronics (BEL) is a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It manufactures electronic products and systems for the army, navy, and air force.
The company reported a 4.61% jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,225.22 crore on an 11.74% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 10,224.43 crore in Q4 FY26 over Q4 FY25.
The counter rose 1.25% to Rs 421.75 on the BSE.
Profit before tax stood at Rs 2,917.34 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, registering a growth of 1.74% on YoY basis.
Total expenses rose 14.51% YoY to Rs 7,417.34 crore in the March 2026 quarter. The cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 4,793.87 crore (up 8.23%) while employee benefits expenses were at Rs 831.42 crore (up 8.52% YoY) during the period under review.
The company’s order book position stood at Rs 73,882 crore as of 1st April 2026.
Shares of Bharat Electronics shed 0.83% to end at Rs 423.15 on the BSE.
For the full year,net profit rose 13.92% to Rs 6062.00 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 5321.44 crore during the previous year ended March 2025. Sales rose 16.16% to Rs 27610.11 crore in the year ended March 2026 as against Rs 23768.75 crore during the previous year ended March 2025.
The GBMES is a fully indigenous, state-of-the-art system designed and developed by DLRL Hyderabad and manufactured by BEL. The networked intelligence platform is capable of detecting, classifying, and locating all types of radars, while also intercepting and analysing communication signals.
The system is aimed at significantly enhancing situational awareness and strengthening the country’s air defence capabilities.
The company’s standalone net profit jumped 20.81% to Rs 1,590.06 crore on a 23.72% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 7,121.98 crore in Q3 FY26 over Q3 FY25.
Shares of Bharat Electronics rose 0.63% to Rs 436.45 on the BSE.
Bharat Electronics has signed a contract with Ministry of Defence valued at Rs 1,251 crore for supply of GBMES system to Indian Army. The GBMES is a totally indigenous, state of the art system designed and developed by DLRL Hyderabad and manufactured by Bharat Electronics.
The networked intelligence system is capable of detecting, classifying and locating all types of radar. The system also intercepts and analyzes all communication signals. The GBMES system enhances the situational awareness and air defence capabilities of the country.
