NMDC is engaged in exploration and production of iron ore along with diamond production and sale of sponge iron and generation and sale of wind power.
The company’s consolidated net profit declined 7.9% to Rs 1,747.01 crore on a 15.9% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 7,610.79 crore in Q3 FY26 over Q3 FY25.
For the period up to February 2026, iron ore production and sales were 47.79 MT (up 18% YoY) and 44.34 MT (up 10.3% YoY), respectively.
The scrip shed 0.73% to close at Rs 81.20 on the BSE.

Iron ore sales increased by 6.9% YoY to 4.79 MT during the period under review. Sales volume for the same period last year was 4.48 MT.
For the period upto January 2026, iron ore production and sales were 42.45 MT (up 18.3% YoY) and 39.73 MT (up 9.7% YoY), respectively.
The company’s consolidated net profit jumped 40.2% to Rs 1,698.86 crore on a 29.7% rise in revenue from operations to Rs 6,378.11 crore in Q2 FY26 over Q2 FY25.
The scrip added 0.17% to currently trade at Rs 81.74 on the BSE.
NMDC Ltd is up for a third straight session in a row. The stock is quoting at Rs 84, up 3.04% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.16% on the day, quoting at 25302.45. The Sensex is at 82334.29, down 0.01%. NMDC Ltd has added around 0.71% in last one month.
Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which NMDC Ltd is a constituent, has added around 12.16% in last one month and is currently quoting at 12106.45, up 1.98% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 387.03 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 278.42 lakh shares in last one month.
The benchmark February futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 84.55, up 3.5% on the day. NMDC Ltd is up 29.15% in last one year as compared to a 8.83% gain in NIFTY and a 48.75% gain in the Nifty Metal index.
The PE of the stock is 10.09 based on TTM earnings ending September 25.
