Brigade Group has announced the outright purchase of a 2-acre land parcel on Kanakapura Road in South Bengaluru. The company will develop a premium residential project on the site with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of approximately Rs. 400 crore. Strategically located on one of South Bengaluru's most sought-after residential corridors, the project will offer homes that blend contemporary living with spaces that foster connectivity, wellness, and long-term value.
Commenting on the acquisition, Amar Mysore, Executive Director, Brigade Enterprises, said, “Kanakapura Road has emerged as a key growth corridor in Bengaluru, driven by expanding infrastructure, improved connectivity and rising demand from homebuyers seeking a quality living environment. Brigade Enterprises has allotted 8,15,40,595 equity shares at Rs.10/- each as fully paid up bonus equity shares, in the ratio of 1:3 i.e. 1 (one) bonus equity share for every 3 (three) equity shares held.
The paid-up equity share capital of the company has increased from Rs. 244,62,17,850/- to Rs. 326,16,23,800/- due to the aforesaid allotment.
Brigade Enterprises Ltd fell 18.95% today to trade at Rs 583.5. The BSE Realty index is down 0.84% to quote at 6335.28. The index is up 7.79 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Lodha Developers Ltd decreased 2.49% and Oberoi Realty Ltd lost 1.8% on the day.
