Profit before tax (PBT) rose 31.68% year on year to Rs 464.81 crore during the quarter.
Gross profit increased 25% YoY to Rs 1,263.8 crore. However, the gross profit margin declined to 11.9% from 13.9% in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The company said the gross margin in its India business was impacted by a higher proportion of exchanged gold, promotional offers under its exchange campaign, and a one-off gain from platinum and silver sales in the base quarter (Q1 FY26).
EBITDA rose 25% year on year to Rs 632.5 crore, while EBIT increased 26% YoY to Rs 517.5 crore.
As of 30 June 2026, Kalyan Jewellers operated 354 Kalyan showrooms in India, including 234 franchise-owned, company-operated (FOCO) outlets. Its digital-first brand, Candere, had 129 showrooms, of which 73 were FOCO outlets.
Internationally, the company operated 38 Kalyan showrooms in the Middle East, two in the US and one FOCO showroom in the UK.
Kalyan Jewellers India is a leading international retail jewellery chain, into the manufacture and retailing of primarily gold and precious stone studded jewelleries.
The scrip fell 3.40% to Rs 573.80 on the BSE.
The buying interest follows the jewellery retailer's announcement on 7 July 2026 that its consolidated revenue grew approximately 38% year-on-year growth in consolidated revenue for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY27), driven by strong demand across its domestic and international businesses.
The company's India operations recorded revenue growth of over 38%, supported by healthy same-store sales growth (SSSG) of around 28%, despite the quarter being impacted by the 28-day Adhik Maas period, when wedding-related demand typically slows in several parts of the country.
Kalyan Jewellers said its 'Shine with India' gold recirculation campaign, launched in the second half of May, gained strong customer acceptance. Recycled gold contributed more than 46% of revenue during Q1 FY27, with the share exceeding 55% in June, helping reduce dependence on imported gold.
International operations posted revenue growth of approximately 35% during the quarter. The Middle East business grew around 30%, driven mainly by same-store sales growth despite lower footfalls in April due to geopolitical tensions. International markets accounted for about 14% of consolidated revenue.
The company's digital-first jewellery platform, Candere, delivered robust revenue growth of around 112% year-on-year.
During the quarter, Kalyan Jewellers expanded its retail footprint by opening 12 Kalyan showrooms and five Candere outlets in India. As of 30 June 2026, the company operated 524 showrooms globally, comprising 354 Kalyan stores in India, 38 in the Middle East, two in the US, one in the UK and 129 Candere stores.
The company said the current quarter has begun on a positive note and expressed confidence about demand during the upcoming festive and wedding season, supported by new showroom launches, fresh collections and marketing campaigns.
On a consolidated basis, Kalyan Jewellers India's net profit surged 118.27% to Rs 409.50 crore while net sales rose 66.22% to Rs 10274.94 crore in Q4 March 2026 over Q4 March 2025.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 4.10 points or 0.02% to 24,211.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, surged 8.38% to 13.28.
Infosys, Kalyan Jewellers India and HDFC Bank were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.
The July 2026 F&O contracts will expire on 28 July 2026.
Investors are also closely tracking the first-quarter earnings season, with the focus on TCS' Q1 FY27 results due later in the day. Market participants will watch the IT major's management commentary for cues on discretionary technology spending by global clients and the demand outlook for the sector.
Consumer durables shares rebounded after declining in the past trading session.
At 12:25 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex declined 585.92 points o 0.76% to 77,091.46. The Nifty 50 index fell 183.45 points or 0.77% to 24,067.55.
The broader market outperformed the frontline indices. The BSE 150 MidCap Index rose 1.48% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index jumped 1.64%.
The market breadth was strong. On the BSE, 2,878 shares rose and 1,086 shares fell. A total of 231 shares were unchanged.
In the commodities market, Brent crude for September 2026 settlement fell 30 cents or 0.38% to $77.72 a barrel.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, tumbled 10.43% to 13.15. The Nifty 28 July 2026 futures were trading at 24,103 at a premium of 35.45 points as compared with the spot at 24,067.55.
The Nifty option chain for the 28 July 2026 expiry showed a maximum call OI of 57.3 lakh contracts at the 25,000 strike price. A maximum put OI of 64.1 lakh contracts was seen at the 24,000 strike price.
Buzzing Index:
The Nifty Consumer Durables index jumped 2.01% to 37,957.50. The index declined 1.33% in the past trading session.
Kalyan Jewellers India (up 16.48%), Dixon Technologies (India) (up 4.99%), PG Electroplast (up 2.97%), Amber Enterprises India (up 2.44%), Kajaria Ceramics (up 2.07%) were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Blue Star (up 1.99%), Whirlpool of India (up 1.24%), Bata India (up 1.02%), LG Electronics India (up 0.9%) and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (up 0.89%) surged.

Dr Reddy's Laboratories tumbled 5.24% after the company said commercial supplies of certain batches of its semaglutide product will be delayed following a quality-related issue involving the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
The Phoenix Mills added 3.96% after the company reported a strong operational performance across its retail, commercial office, hospitality and residential businesses for the quarter ended June 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company's retail portfolio continued to deliver robust growth, with consumption rising 32% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 4,727 crore during the quarter across its existing operational assets.
